Emi Lenes, PhD, provides group, individual and couples counseling for college students. For over 15 years, Emi has been facilitating groups on topics such as: guided imagery, multiculturalism, and bereavement. She is a licensed clinician and Qualified Supervisor for both Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy registered interns. Emi has worked extensively at the PACE Center for Girls, an alternative school for adolescents who are in the process of overcoming various traumatic life circumstances. She has training in Somatic Experiencing trauma resolution. Moreover, Emi has implemented creativity and healing activities at an inpatient crisis stabilization hospital. She deeply values being on the UF Mindfulness team and cherishes having been involved with the Center for Spirituality and Health since 2003. Emi’s life purpose includes facilitating experiential workshops related to holistic healthcare and connecting across diversity. She has co-authored scholarly publications, and has given over 40 professional presentations at international, national, regional, state, and local settings. Furthermore, Emi loves facilitating sacred ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and blessing way circles for life changing milestones.
